Not examined out of the frame. The canvas, stretcher and attachments appear to be in generally good condition. There is rubbing along the edges of the canvas and there are faint stretcher bar impressions across the centre of the canvas. There are a few faint hairline rubbings to the lower left quadrant primarily visible under raking light. When examined under ultraviolet light there appears to be no evidence of any retouching. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in generally good condition.
