The canvas, stretcher and attachments appear to be in generally good condition. There are two pinholes to the upper right extreme vertical edge and two to the upper extreme horizontal edge, presumably studio related. There is minor rubbing to the extreme corners, with a associated minute paint loss to the upper right corner. There are minute tension cracks to the extreme vertical edges with a few associated minor paint losses, most notably to the turnover edges. There are some accretions in places to the lower horizontal edge, and a few to the upper right quadrant. When examined under ultraviolet light there appears to be no evidence of any retouching. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in generally good condition.
