Known as the father of video art, Nam June Paik was one of Holly Solomon’s favorite artists and the “senior provocateur” of her gallery in its later years. Paik worked across a range of media, including video, performance, drawing and sculpture, often combining all of these into one. Holly Solomon purchased this pastel directly from Paik, who executed it in Miami in 1998.
