The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The sheet is affixed to the mat backing. The paper has slightly shifted in tone, and there are soft handling creases throughout. There are slight tears to the edges of the paper, primarily along the upper and lower edges. The signature on the reverse is visible on the verso through the paper. There are minute spots of discoloration in the upper left corner. The lower edge of "LARD" is slightly smudged, consistent with the artist's working method.
