One page, 295 x 205mm. On Laboratory of Molecular Biology letterhead, University Postgraduate Medical School, Cambridge (mild creasing, couple of spots).

Commenting on James Watson’s book and asking to use a photo of DNA for Crick's own article for Encyclopedia Brittanica. In full, “Thanks for the cutting. The book seems to be arousing a lot of interest. I expect it will all die down soon. / I did suggest to the Encyclopedia Britannica that they might use a colour picture of yours of DNA. The one I had in mind was the ball-and-wire model which you made many years ago and which was on the cover of the small booklet you once sent me. It is rather a pretty picture and I think it would go well with my article.
