The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

- some minor crazing in the printed grey at lower right, as is common with this print.
- some thin, diagonal black scuff marks in the printed grey, across the subject's neck and hair.
- the sheet slightly cockled, as is common with this print.
- circular areas of brown staining in places along the upper sheet edge verso, from old adhesive, not showing recto.
- some other pale brown marks and offsetting verso, not showing recto.
- remains of japan hinges in places along the sheet edges verso.
