The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

- the colours attenuated except for a fillet at the sheet edges.
- several creases in places at the lower sheet edge, with some tiny associated ink losses.
- a hard diagonal crease at the upper right corner, supported with japan paper verso.
- other creases at the upper left and lower right corners, mainly visible in raking light.
- some areas of light skinning in places along the sheet edges verso, from previous hinging that has been skillfully repaired.
