The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

- the sheet fractionally trimmed at the upper and left sheet edges (F&S. calls for dimensions of 914 x 914 mm.).
- the trimmed edges slightly irregular.
- a small crease on the chin, visible in raking light.
- an approx. 7 cm. surface scuff on the right cheek above the beauty spot, and another on the tip of the nose, visible in raking light.
- creasing to the sheet tips lower and upper left, with some minor associated ink losses.
- dark backboard staining overall verso.
Otherwise as described, the surface of the print generally in good condition.
