Druck /(vor der Verstählung), inscribed by the sitter Mit herzlichem Dank und besten Grüssen, Arnold Schönberg in brown ink, a very rich and tonal impression, with selective wiping on the forehead and above the head, the second proof before the plate was steel-faced, one of only approximately ten impressions from the original plate (in 1973 a photogravure was published in an edition of twenty signed and numbered impressions, inscribed Neudruck)
