The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In addition to the catalogue description:
- the full sheet, with deckle edges on two sides.
- the signature, numbering and date in red pencil sightly faded.
- the representation of the subject's left shoe slightly reduced, due to the irregular lower sheet edge.
- a few soft and unobtrusive handling creases in various places (mainly visible in a raking light).
- an unobtrusive horizontal printer's crease (circa 90 mm.) in the subject's upper left trouser, with a shorter crease at the extreme right sheet edge (both mainly visible in a raking light).
- hinged with paper tape at various places along the sheet edges verso.
Otherwise as described and in good condition.
