The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In addition to the catalogue description;
- trimmed at the left and right sheet edges
- stuck down onto card
- a repaired tear 145 mm. into the image lower right
- a repaired tear 60 mm. into the image top left
- flattened central vertical fold, with resultant paper loss
- a 230 mm. scratch in the image lower right
- paper loss 15 mm. in the lower portion of the red skirt
- scuffs in the area of the blue clothing
- numerous scratches with ink loss, presumably caused by broken glass to the right side of the image
- uneven time staining
Other more minor defects, otherwise as described.
