The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In addition to the catalogue description:
- with margins, the sheet folded under at the edges on all four sides.
- laid to a linen support.
- overall toning to the sheet.
- a hairline diagonal printer's crease in the centre of figure's fur wrap.
- a small, pale spot of discoloration to left of third line of text.
- a moisture stain at the lower left sheet edge.
- some dappled discoloration in the background upper left.
- some slight splitting with associated losses along the folds at the edges.
Otherwise as described, and generally in good condition.
