The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In addition to the catalogue description:
- with slightly irregular margins.
- with light-staining.
- pale scattered foxspots across the sheet recto and verso.
- remains of old hinges at the upper and lower left sheet corners verso.
- a few small areas of pale fibres in various places on the printed surface.
- two very fine scratches in the lower left of the composition, the longest 70 mm. (mainly visible in a raking light)
