The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

-with a blindstamp MAX KÖHLER SCHUTZ MARKE, presumably relating to the paper manufacture.
- with dark mount-staining recto.

- a circular paper loss (circa. 20 mm. wide) near the upper right sheet corner.
- some cockling along the upper sheet edge, with some associated hard, vertical creases (30 mm. and shorter).
- a horizontal printer's crease (60 mm.) to the right of the cross (mainly visible in a raking light).
- some soft handling creases in the sheet (mainly visible in a raking light).
- three small areas with remains of old hinging and associated skinning at the upper sheet edge verso.
- hinged with paper tape at the upper corners verso.
