The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

- the red felt-tip pen signature bright and unattenuated.
- a pinpoint foxmark in the lower subject, in the road at right.
- two long unobtrusive horizontal creases in the upper subject, mainly visible in a raking light.
- a 35 mm. vertical crease in the lower margin, extending slightly into the subject.
- some handling creases in the margins and at the sheet edges.
- some handling marks and surface dirt in the margins.
- several areas of surface dirt and scuffing on the reverse.
- the sheet curling at the upper and lower edges, due to it being previously rolled.
