The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

- very pale, even time-staining in the image.
- skillfully repaired areas of skinning along the sheet edges verso, not showing recto.
- a tiny paper loss at the tip of the upper left corner.
- paper tape along the upper sheet edge verso.
- with pale backboard-staining and areas of surface dirt verso.
