The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In addition to the catalogue description:
- the full sheet, with a deckle edge at left and right.
- the artist's signature in red crayon faded.
- a stray pencil mark in the lower right corner.
- the sheet with some mount-staining visible near the sheet edges.
- some pale brown handling marks near the upper and lower sheet edges.
- occasional pinpoint foxspots and unobtrusive soft, handling creases (mainly visible in a raking light) across the sheet.
- hinged with paper tape at various points along the upper sheet edge verso.
- with backboard-staining verso.
Otherwise as described and in generally good condition.
