The first complete edition (issued originally in parts) of a memorial volume to the late Alexander Hamilton and purported to be a copy owned by Aaron Burr. "This collection (edited by one of Hamilton's warmest friends and admirers, who aimed to make it a fitting monument to him) included nearly every thing relating to his death—eulogies, resolutions of various societies, newspaper testimonials, and much else that could otherwise be found only by a reference to the papers of the day" (Ford 94).
