The wooden support is structurally sound and in plane. There is a light layer of surface dust, particularly to the interior channels. Fibrous accretions, handling marks, surface irregularities and minor losses to the raised peaks of impasto are occasionally, in keeping with the artist's working method. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
