The body formed as an upright wooden barrel with applied mid-band of strapwork, veined green enameled leaves and set with red paste gems, one side with tap surmounted by a putto, the top applied with overlapping grapevine and with grape clusters formed of hardstones and pearls, all on a circular base formed as an openwork mound of overlapping grape leaves and grape bunches, fitted for six removable cups with opal and paste stone grape bunches, marked on underside of cups
