The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Overall with some minor scuffs and scratches consistent with age and use, some minor wear to the gilding, the upper rim with some bruising and creases to the underside, some minor wear to the decoration and engraving, overall good condition.
Cover marked on flange with Paul Storr maker's mark, rubbed, duty mark, sterling mark, and date letter for 1832, as noted the finial apparently unmarked, though screw with sterling mark, the foot rim with maker's mark for John Mortimer & John Samuel Hunt, as well as sterling, duty, and city marks, and date letter for 1832, further stamped MORTIMER & HUNT, the cup removable from the stem and apparently unmarked.
