The rectangular box, raised on four scroll feet, chased throughout with scrolls, flowering foliage, and shells, the hinged dome cover further chased with acanthus leaves, scrolling foliage, and classical portrait busts, engraved to the center with a coat-of-arms, the interior cedar lined with two lidded compartments, one lined with foil, with two conforming rectangular ash receivers and a table lamp, also engraved with a coat-of-arms, marked on front, the ash receivers marked on reverse, the table lighter marked on body and dated 1893
