Lot Essay
Jean (Hans) Arp (1886-1966) was a German-French sculptor, painter, poet, and abstract artist in other media instrumental in founding the Data movement. He actively participated in Surrealism and Constructivism, often incorporated waste material, and embraced spontaneity as integral component of the artistic process.
