GB used this bat during the England tour of Australia in 1979-1980. He finished the tour with the top batting average of 52.66, scoring 1 century and 5 half-centuries although England largely underperformed in the Test Matches, losing 3-0. This bat was used in Boycott’s finest innings in the Benson & Hedges World Series contested by England, Australia and the West Indies. GB scored 105 versus Australia under the lights at the Sydney Cricket Ground and was awarded man-of-the-match.
