Lot Essay

GB's first tour of Australia in 1970-1971 was also the occasion of Greg Chappell's Test debut. This was during the second Test, Perth, 11-16 December 1970 when Chappell scored a "brilliant" 108, though batting at number 7. In 1977, Chappell bowled the ball which GB hit to bring up his 100th century.
