The fifth and final Test Match of the 1974 England v West Indies Test Series provided a famous victory to level the series at 1-1. GB scored a vital 99 and 112 and would have been named man-of-the-match had it not been for Tony Greig's heroic figures of 13-156 in the match.
The fourth Test in Antigua in 1981 was the first to ever be held at the now iconic Antigua Recreation Ground. Centuries by Willey in the first innings and Boycott in the second helped England to a draw.
GB was renowned early in his career for wearing glasses. The first Test between England and the West Indies at Old Trafford in 1969 marked this first occasion that he wore contact lenses. Despite describing the sensation as 'odd', GB still make 129 in an historic England victory.
