The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
In addition to the catalogue description:
- with slightly uneven margins.
- the very sharp platemark cut through the paper (circa 5 mm.) at centre left, with two short, associated tears (also circa 5 mm.) into the subject, the small area very thinly secured with a layer of Japan paper fibres verso.
- several partially un-inked oblique printer's creases at lower left and through the lower left corner of the subject, another at lower right.
- some traces of stray printing ink in the left margin and lesser ones elsewhere.
- some very pale light-staining in the margins.
- inscribed with the underscored number 522 in pencil verso.
Otherwise as described, the subject generally in good condition.
