The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

- with wide margins, deckle edges on three sides, the right sheet edge unevenly trimmed.
- with pale light- and mount staining.
- time staining at the sheet edges at left, above and below.
- some short and unobtrusive printer's creases in places, some minor cockling and handling creases in the margins and sheet edges, mainly visible in raking light.
- two pinpoint pressure marks in the upper margin, mainly visible in raking light.
- hinged with paper tape at the upper and lower left sheet edge verso.
- two inscriptions in pencil verso.
