The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

This work is sold framed.
India ink and wax crayon on paper. Hinged at the four corners to a supporting sheet, with is itself hinged at the upper corners to the mount window. Faintly light stained and mount stained. The left edge serrated corresponding to the sheet being removed from the artist's sketchbook. Artist's tack holes to the four corners. Some undulation of the sheet due to the rich application of media. Some light creasing in places. A few pinpoints of foxing. Subject to the foregoing, it is our opinion that this work appears to be in generally good condition.

Le revers de la feuille est maintenu par des charnières aux quatre coins sur une feuille de support, elle-même maintenue par des charnières aux coins supérieurs sur un passe-partout. Légère insolation et brunissement de la feuille. Le bord gauche est irrégulier ce qui correspond au fait que l'œuvre ait été retirée d'un carnet à dessins. Les trous de punaises faits par l'artiste aux quatre coins. Ondulation de la feuille due à la riche application du medium. De légères froissures par endroits. De rares et minuscules piqûres. Sous réserve de ce qui précède et selon notre opinion, cette œuvre apparaît en bonne condition générale.
