The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

- trimmed to the borderline, a narrow margin below
- lacking a small portion of the lower right corner, backed and made up in pen and ink, a touch of pen and ink at the upper right corner, a short paper split at the lower sheet edge (12 mm.), a short tear backed and repaired at the left sheet edge (3 cm.), a few shorter repaired tears at the sheet edges
- a horizontal flattened fold
- a few pale stains and a few pale pinpoint foxmarks
- a few remains of old hinges, an adhesive tape strip along the left sheet edge verso
