In good, sound condition and ready to place. With typical scattered light nicks, marks and faint scratches. Redecorated, and with scattered flaking, small chips and losses revealing bole and barewood, not extensive. With evidence of old inactive woodworm and upholstery holes. One stretcher replaced. The back left leg and front right leg with old, glue residue near joins, possibly as a result of a well concealed restoration. Possibly with an additional horizontal stretcher to the underside, as evidenced by former joins on outermost cross struts. With some typical separation at joins, including to the finials on the back rail, and some small shrinkage cracks. The upholstery well maintained and with light scattered staining from use.
