The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Overall good condition. The wood with scattered age and construction cracks, a small patch to the rear seat rail, at the underside. Some evidence of woodworm damage to the underside, inactive. Some abrasions and small losses to the carving. Some repairs where the medial stretcher joins the side stretcher, some feet possibly replaced. Re-gilt, with scattered chips, losses to carving and gilt surfaces revealing gesso, bole and bare wood in areas as to be expected with age. The upholstery with marks, light staining and overall signs of gentle wear, as to be expected from use. Good scale, attractive upholstery, ready to place.
