The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

L’œuvre est sur sa toile d’origine. De très fines traces de frottement sont visibles le long des bords. De très petites accrétions de matière sont visibles par endroits sur la surface. Un petit point d’abrasion est perceptible dans le quart supérieur droit. Examinée à la lumière UV: pas de repeint apparent. Sous réserve de ce qui précède, selon notre opinion, l’œuvre est en bon état général de conservation. 

The work is not lined. Very thin rubbing is visible along the edges. Very small accretions are visible in places to the surface. A small pin point abrasion is visible in the upper right quadrant. Examined under UV light: no visible inpainting. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in overall good condition.
