Designed by Ferdinand Alexander Porsche in 1980 and launched in 1983, IWC’s ‘Ocean 500’ diver’s watch is the slightly smaller version of the ‘Ocean 2000’. As the name suggests, it is water resistant to 500 metres. Both versions of IWC’s Porsche Design ‘Ocean’ watch are now highly sought after models with collectors appreciating their historic importance as the earliest diver’s wristwatches made of full titanium, their simple clean lines and easy wearability even almost 40 years after launch.
