The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.


The present lot is offered in good overall condition. The dial and hands are in very good condition and appear to be original. There is some settled dust around the edge of the dial and the luminous plots are darkening in areas. The case is in good condition with light scratches and scuffs throughout from normal wear. The hallmarks on the case back are visible. The uni-directional bezel turns well, and the crown protector is in very good condition. The lug screws to hold the strap are stabilized with the use of an adhesive. This is commonly found on these pieces when the threads have previously been worn and can’t hold the screws in place. The quick-set date function is working at the time of cataloguing. The movement is in working order at the time of cataloging, consistent with the age of the watch. The movement has not been tested for accuracy. A service is recommended given the age of the watch.
