Lot Essay

The limited edition Chopard L.U.C Tech Strike One is a rare titanium timepiece featuring a unique complication activated by a pusher at 10 o’clock. Its dial includes a partially open small seconds at 6 o’clock and a date window at 3 o’clock, balancing clean design with mechanical complexity.

Powered by the respected Calibre 96—once named a favorite by the legend Philippe Dufour himself—it delivers a mechanical hour strike that chimes once every 60 minutes. The hammer and gong are visible through the dial, offering a glimpse into the movement in action.

Developed with master watchmaker Michel Parmigiani, the movement features twin stacked mainsprings for a 65-hour power reserve and a 22-carat gold micro-rotor for efficient winding. Finishing details include polished screws, beveled edges, and traditional Côtes de Genève decoration.

Numbered 75 out of a total production of 100 pieces, the Tech Strike One is a refined and innovative watch—mechanically impressive, visually striking, and a completely under-rated example of high-end watchmaking.
