Lot Essay

An elegant wristwatch that evokes the flamboyance of the 1970s, Patek Philippe produced the Reference 4404 in very limited numbers from 1976 to circa 1979. With its distinct rectangular case and two independent movements that enabled the user to track two time zones via the dial, the Ref. 4404 was a rarity in the Patek Philippe catalogue. Furthermore, the reference was presented in various combinations with jewellery and stone inlays on the dial.
