Lot Essay

This rarely seen and attractive clock beautifully encapsulates the art-deco era of Cartier design. The curved numerals complement the ornate engraving of the case perfectly. The quarter repeater chimes perhaps as well today as it ever has done. The case helps the sound resonate at a very commendable volume.
