The DB28 has emerged as the standard bearer for De Bethune in the last decade. It may be recalled that the model won the Aiguille d’Or award at the 2011 Grand Prix d’horlogerie de Genève. Sportier than the standard production version, but the DB28 GS (GS stands for Grande Sport) still retains trademark De Bethune traits like articulated lugs, the deltoid-shaped bridge on the hand-finished open-worked dial and the silicon balance spring. The “California Edition” was produced in an extremely small edition of 5 pieces. Featuring a large 43-mm. titanium case with tourbillon, it is offered in excellent condition, with its full set of accessories.
