Lot Essay

From 1976 until 1980, all cases for the Nautilus were made for Patek Philippe by Favre-Perret SA. Following their acquisition of Ateliers Réunis in 1980, Patek Philippe started manufacturing the cases “in-house” at Ateliers Réunis and the reference number of the Nautilus was changed to 3700-11. They represent about 20-25 percent of the total Ref. 3700 production.

The Nautilus Ref. 3700/11 JA was introduced in 1980 and produced in a very small series. According to our research, less than 300 examples of the model were made, rendering it much rarer than its stainless-steel counterpart.
