Lot Essay

The present Daytona example was crafted in 18k white gold and bears an exceptionally rare meteorite dial. While exact production numbers are not publicly known, it is no secret that these dials are scarcely manufactured due to the difficulty to work with meteorite and the rarity of the material.

In the current market, watch brands cannot easily acquire more meteorite samples as certain types are protected by law, therefore the manufacturers are constrained to use their existing stock supply.

Thanks to naturally occurring patterns, no two dials will ever look identical and therefore each watch is unique in a sense. The present lot is further accompanied by its original Rolex guarantee.
