Vacheron Constantin debuted the Overseas range model as a harder wearing, more robust iteration of the 222. In more recent years, the model has seen updates to the shape, bezel and bracelet. The present lot represents one of the original iterations of this range.

This Overseas chronograph first-generation reference 49140 displays a striking silvered dial, with the date displayed in a traditional "double guichet" (double window) fashion - a rare feature Vacheron Constantin has become known for. Being a first-generation, the present lot is also referred to as Phase 1.

CASE: Surface scratches, shows signs of wear around the edges of the case, a few nicks and dents visible on the case

DIAL: Nice, clean, and original

MOVEMENT: Ticking at the time of cataloguing. However a service is recommended.

BRACELET AND CLASP: Shows signs of wear, visible scratches on the bracelet and clasp.
Bracelet length: 155 cm. (6.10 inches)
