Lot Essay

Consigned by the original owner the present ref. 3747 has never been offered in public before and is in very well-preserved overall condition.

The engine-turned dial and coin-edge band are typical Breguet traits: subtle and elegant details which transfigure the timepiece with an undeniable vintage vibe.

This model of pocket watch is one of the pieces made in the 1990s to continue the tradition of Breguet’s earlier perpetual calendar timepieces. The look for this more contemporary model was chosen for its clarity and elegance in displaying complications in a way that is pleasing to the eye.

This rare, complicated and elegant timepiece will appeal to both pocket watch and wristwatch collectors alike and to those who appreciate the haute horology of Breguet.
