Lot Essay

Founded in 1995 through an alliance between the watchmaker Roger Dubuis and designer Carlos Dias, the Swiss manufacture quickly thrived through its balance between traditional watchmaking and striking designs.

The Excalibur line is celebrating the most delicate of its complications, the minute repeater, dressed in rose gold.
The bezel's deeper fluting enhances its dynamic dimension, while preserving Excalibur's strong personality and the refined crown-guard gives the case a more streamlined appearance. The ingenious effect of a double flange around the dial provides new depth and beautifully highlights these two redesigned features of the collection. The tourbillon, positioned at 5 o'clock, is set off by a rose gold ring.

Powered by the RD08 automatic mechanical movement with a pair of platinum micro-rotors, flying tourbillon escapement and a minute repeater with centrifugal dissipater, the movement is visible through the sapphire exhibition case back.
