Lot Essay

Wonderfully sized at 37.5 mm., this special stainless steel chronograph features fancy and faceted lugs, and a stepped bezel. The dial is silvered with luminous Arabic numerals and has a tachymeter and telemeter scale, adding to its utilitarian purpose. The movement is engraved 'LXW' (Longines-Wittnauer), the at-the-time authorized agent for Longines USA, indicating that this watch was destined for the American market.
