Lot Essay

Extremely rare, seldom seen, and fresh to market, the present white gold timepiece features "Murat" hand-engraving and decoration throughout the outer lips and bow of the case. The elaborate engraving adds a charming flair to the timepiece which is only further enhanced by the marvelous two-tone Mother of Pearl dial. Furthermore, the outer Mother of Pearl track has applied numerals which wonderfully complement the coveted spade hands. Attached to the watch is a pocket knife by Schrade Cut Co., Walden N.Y. and features a matching monogram, configured by the likes of the original owner. It is very unlikely that a similar timepiece will enter the market for some time, making the present watch an absolute "must-have" for the discerning and astute collector.
