The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
In reasonably good overall condition.
Traces of apparently inactive, historic woodworm.
As stated in the cataloguing, the decoration is probably essentially 18th century with some refreshment, including but not limited to the repainting of the rear left upright, there is also a repaired break to the same leg and possibly some repair to the mouldings. There is a sticky residue surrounding the repair. There is minor wear, crazing, discolouration and loss throughout. There is evidence of minor restoration throughout, including to the reverse of the door, probably to counter warping, The blue painted interior and shelf are probably later as is the alabaster. Slight shrinkage cracking and warping. The legs slightly loose and one with joint re-glued. Minor losses and replacements to mouldings.
Overall minor knocks, chips, scratches and wear consistent with age and use.
In generally good decorative and structural condition and ready to use.
