拍品的狀況可能存在極大差異，而由於其性質使然，拍品難以處於完美無瑕的狀態。拍品均以拍賣時的狀況出售。

The surface is stable with a slightly yellowed layer of varnish. There is minor scuffing to the edges due to frame abrasion. Inspection under UV light reveals inpainting to the extreme and lower and upper edges to address frame abrasion. Most of the inpainting on the lower extreme edge appears to have been done at an earlier date and flouresces less brightly. There are scattered retouches in the water which do not flouresce brightly, indicating an earlier date. There is a half inch line and a few scattered spots of inpainting in the upper left corner which appear to be from an earlier date. In the upper left and upper right corners, the varnish flouresces lightly.
