The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

(i) The sheet is hinged periodically at the upper edge to the backing board and undulates very slightly. The left edge of the sheet is irregular, presumably studio-related. Soft creases are infrequent. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.

(ii) The sheet is hinged periodically at the upper edge and across the lower register to the backing board and undulates very slightly. The sheet has shifted in tone, and faint discoloration is occasionally to the extreme edges. Tiny tears are occasionally to the extreme right edge. A minute linear accretion is right of center, and pinpoint ones are infrequent. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
