Le tableau a fait l'objet d'un rentoilage un peu fort qui a pu tasser la matière picturale, notamment dans la partie droite au niveau des arbres et de l'architecture.
A l'oeil nu, on constate des anciennes restaurations dans le ciel au niveau des bleus, et dans l'eau, où certaines zones bleues ont été renforcées. Les zones brunes de la partie droite ont fait l'objet de restaurations, ayant viré pour certaines. Le tableau est sale, sous un vernis jauni.
A l'UV, on constate une campagne de restauration plus récente au niveau du ciel. On devine d'anciennes campagnes de restauration dans les architectures à droite. Les fenêtres des architectures de droite on été remontées. On constate également des restaurations récentes dans la partie gauche, notamment dans l'arbre le plus à gauche de la composition. Le reste est sous un vernis ancien épais dissimulant d'anciennes campagnes de restauration à l'UV bien que visibles à l'oeil nu.

The painting has been subject to a quite strict relining, which may have somewhat flattened the paint surface in certain areas, particularly in the right-hand portion of the composition.
In natural light, historic restoration and retouching can be seen in the sky and in the blues of the the water. The brown tones to the right also display some scattered retouching that has somewhat discoloured with time. The painting carries some surface dirt.
Examination under UV light reveals a more recent restoration campaign to the sky. Old restoration can be seen in the architecture to the right. The windows in the right-hand building have been reinforced. Recent restorations can also be seen in the left-hand section, particularly in the tree furthest to the left of the composition. The thickness of the varnish precludes a more in depth examination.
